Iran says it has launched an attack against the U.S. airbase in Qatar and possibly elsewhere in the region. The White House is closely monitoring the situation. Airspace over Qatar closed down today. The U.S. Embassy in Qatar warned American citizens earlier today to shelter in place. There are approximately ten-thousand troops at the Al Udeid Air Base, which is located about 190 miles from the Iranian border. The U.S. has moved most of its unhangered aircraft out of the base already.
