The Pentagon says, “Operation Midnight Hammer,” was the largest B-2 bomber strike in U.S. history. The U.S. struck three nuclear facilities in Iran, including the fortified Fordow facility.
Today, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said President Trump’s decision to hit Iran was “bold and brilliant” and every U.S. munition hit its target.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine said he believes the U.S. struck a blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Caine said the destruction to the facilities was substantial and more will be known in the coming days. Caine also said throughout the operation, the U.S. maintained the element of surprise, and not one of Iran’s fighter jets took to the air.
