New COVID-19 Strain May Cause Pink Eye
(Los Angeles, CA) — The newest strain of COVID-19 might cause pink eye. On Thursday, Los Angeles County Public Health officials said the Arcturus strain may be linked with conjunctivitis, more commonly known as pink eye. Scientists have not confirmed the suspected link between COVID and pink eye, and L.A. County Public Health Director Doctor Barbara Ferrer says the warning is only based on observational data so far. But, she says itchy, watery, or red eyes might be a sign of a COVID infection.
