(San Diego, CA) — San Diego County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher is being sued for sexual assault, battery and harassment. Grecia Figueroa, a former employee of the Metropolitan Transit System where the supervisor had served as Chair, has filed the lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court. Figueroa says Fletcher sexually assaulted her on three occasions, and sexually harassed her for nearly two years, before she was fired from MTS on the day Fletcher declared his run for State Senate. She is also suing for failure to prevent sexual harassment and whistleblower retaliation. Fletcher is denying the charges, admitting to an affair, but calling it consensual and a terrible mistake, saying he has violated the trust and loyalty of his marriage to former California Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez. Fletcher says he is no longer running for State Senate, and he says he has left California to go into rebab for alcohol abuse and PTSD.
