House Republicans Call For TikTok Ban
(Washington, DC) — A group of conservative Republicans want to do away with TikTok completely. Representative Troy Nehls of Texas called the popular social media app a “Chinese surveillance tool” that threatens children and national security. Mary Miller of Illinois said the app is “brainwashing American children” with dangerous content. This comes as the CEO of TikTok faced a grilling by a Congressional committee over data concerns. The app is owned by Chinese company ByteDance.
