(Mesa, AZ) — Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema says angry rhetoric on both sides is one of the reasons she ditched the Democratic Party to become an independent. Speaking in suburb of Phoenix, Sinema said she’s one of many Americans who feel they aren’t defined by one political party. She added the people of Arizona want her to be part of the solution and solve problems, not engage in partisan name-calling. Her decision to switch parties has shaken up the Senate — robbing Democrats of their new 51 Senate seat majority after their victory in the Georgia runoff this week. ma Won’t Talk Possible Re-Election Bid After Turning Independent
