(Seattle, WA) — Amazon is suing more than ten-thousand Facebook groups over fake reviews. Filed in Seattle, the lawsuit accuses the groups’ administrators of asking for reviews in exchange for free products or money. Some of the groups, including ones called “Amazon Product Review” and “Amazon Verified Buyer and Seller,” had thousands of members. Amazon said Facebook’s parent company Meta has taken down half of the groups reported so far.
