(Troy, MI) — Hotel guests in North America are less satisfied this year after two years of positive experiences during the pandemic. A J.D. Power Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study says costs are the biggest issue since many travelers aren’t pleased with the value they’re getting for their money. The study shows an eight point drop in satisfaction overall, which J.D. Power’s hospitality practice lead calls “statistically significant.” She blamed inflation for the big 18-point dip in satisfaction with hotel costs and fees.
