(Glendale, CA) — City officials in Glendale are apologizing after issuing a false emergency evacuation alert. Residents of Chevy Chase Canyon were notified to leave their homes and report to an evacuation site around 9 a.m. on Saturday. The Los Angeles Times reports that the alert was followed by another message, saying it was just a drill. City officals said this was the result of a computer glitch and promised it wouldn’t happen again.

Were you woken up by a false emergency alert early last Saturday? So sorry.
