(Los Angeles, CA) — The Oscars are requiring COVID vaccination for nominees and guests, but not performers and presenters. This comes after a report that stated the Academy Awards would not require attendees to provide proof of vaccination. This year’s ceremony will invite 25-hundred nominees, who will not be required to wear masks once in the venue. COVID-19 cases are declining around the Los Angeles area and other large events in California have gotten rid of vaccine mandates like Coachella.
