Recall of LA Councilmember Nithya Raman is ON

RECALL PETITION APPROVED FOR CIRCULATION BY CITY CLERK
LOS ANGELES (July 9, 2021) – A draft petition has been filed and approved on 07/09/2021 for
circulation to recall Nithya Raman Los Angeles City Councilmember.
In accordance with Charter Section 431(a), to qualify for presentation to the City Council, the
petition must contain 27,405* valid signatures of qualified registered voters of Council District 4
in the City of Los Angeles. The deadline for filing the petition is November 4, 2021.
The Office of the City Clerk administers candidate filing for the City of Los Angeles and the Los
Angeles Unified School District. More information can be found on the City Clerk’s election
