(Sacramento, CA) — While the state refuses to follow CDC guidelines and lift the mask mandate — an order being followed on a county-by-county basis — five more California counties are moving to a less restrictive COVID tier this week. Four counties are moving to the least restrictive, yellow tier. They are Orange, Amador, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara counties. Tehama County is moving from Red to Orange, the second-least restrictive level. No counties moved backwards this week. As of Tuesday, providers have reported administering more than 34.8 million vaccine doses statewide.
