(Sacramento, CA) — Health insurance premiums are dropping for many Covered California enrollees. The Obama-era program recently got additional subsidies from the federal government through The American Rescue Plan Act. Premiums for around one-point-six-million state residents will decrease starting next month. Covered California executive director Peter Lee noted that those who signed up for high-deductible plans could pay as little as one dollar a month for health insurance. Lee added that Covered California will be launching media and informational campaigns soon to let residents know about the benefits available to them.
