(Washington, DC) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is looking ahead to next week’s eleven-year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Pelosi told reporters the landmark bill was transformational in expanding affordable healthcare coverage for Americans. She highlighted the provision that protects people with pre-existing conditions. Pelosi called Obamacare a giant step toward universal healthcare coverage. Republicans have spent the better part of a decade trying to kill Obamacare, without success.
