(Atlanta, GA) — The CDC is finding many coronavirus patients were overweight. A new study puts the number at 28-percent, with 50-percent said to be obese. Overweight is defined as having a body mass index of 25 or more while obesity is 30 or more. The CDC says risk of severe illness “sharply increased” as BMIs rose, especially among those 65 and older.
(Washington, DC) — Families kept apart during the pandemic are finally getting the chance to reunite. The CDC revealed new guidelines today, saying it’s safe for those vaccinated against coronavirus to socialize without a mask. What’s more, they can also visit with unvaccinated people in another home, as long as they’re at low risk of testing positive. The CDC still advises against non-essential travel, warning about the spread of mutations.
