(Sacramento, CA) — California is ordering five-thousand more body bags amid the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking at a Tuesday coronavirus press conference, Governor Gavin Newsom said he doesn’t want to scare people, rather remind them of the severity of the coronavirus. Newsom also announced the state is activating a mutual aid among coroners. This means they can recruit help from nearby regions if they become overwhelmed. The bags are set to be delivered to San Diego and Los Angeles.
