(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County’s new safer-at-home order starts today, and will last through at least December 20th. Restaurants can only offer takeout and delivery, essential retailers must limit their capacity to 35-percent, and non-essential retailers must cap theirs off at 20-percent. Outdoor recreation at places like beaches, parks and trails is still allowed, but people can only gather with those they live with. Schools that have already been granted a reopening waiver can stay open. The order comes as the county’s case, hospitalization and death rates surge back to, or above, peak levels. There were again more than five-thousand cases reported on Sunday.
