Broadway To Remain Closed Until Next Summer
(New York, NY) — The lights will remain off on Broadway until 2021. The Broadway League trade organization said the 41 theaters will remain closed through at least May 30th. The group of producers and theater owners said they want to reopen as soon as it’s safe to do so because 97-thousand workers rely on the shows for their livelihood. Anyone holding tickets before that day can get a refund. The theaters bring in close to 15-billion-dollars a year to the city.
