Portion Of Detroit’s Lodge Freeway Renamed To Honor Aretha Franklin
(Detroit, MI) — A ceremony yesterday renamed a portion of the Lodge Freeway in Detroit to honor music legend Aretha Franklin. The change designates a portion of M-10 as the Aretha Franklin Memorial Highway. Franklin passed away in 2018 at the age of 76.They should have renamed it the “Freeway of Love” in honor of one of Aretha’s smash hit songs.
