The LA City Council voted on Tuesday to reinstate the law that bans people from sleeping in vehicles overnight in certain areas. Those locations include residential streets and spots within 500 feet of a school. The vote was unanimous and lead to protests from some members of the audience. At least one person was detained for disrupting the meeting.

Sleeping in cars in parts of Los Angeles is once again illegal.
