Los Angeles police captain William Hayes says Gerry Zaragoza shot and killed four people, including his father, brother and a woman at a local gas station early Thursday morning. His mother was wounded at their home, as was a man at the gas station.
”We were able to determine that both incidents were linked, and that we believe the suspect was involved in both of those crimes.”
LAPD Deputy Chief Kris Pitcher says the 26-year-old suspect also tried to rob a man at an ATM before fleeing for several hours.
”Until her ultimately boarded a bus, out here in the south part of the Valley, where he unfortunately committed another homicide.”
After the bus shooting he fled. Police caught him a short time later.
