Santa Ana Police Department Corporal Anthony Bertagna tells KTLA-5 that a woman posing as a social worker knocked on a door and told a new mother that she had to take her baby boy into custody. ”The lady said, ‘fine, I’ll come with you.’ The supposed social worker says, ‘I don’t have room for you in my car.’ and then turns around and walks away quickly.” Which was caught on cell phone video. Police are warning new mothers to be cautious. ”Do not give your child to somebody unless they have identification, paperwork – that’s how they operate.” And if in doubt, call police.
