Opponents of Vision Zero say it’s been a total disaster in the Mar Vista area
KeepLa Moving.com’s John Russo says Councilman Mike Bonin’s office, who implemented the road diet on Venice Boulevard, continues to push back against local businesses who opposed his plan.
“This isn’t politics in terms of left right politics. This is about bad public policy that is affecting the lives of 98% of the people in this city who don’t ride a bike. And, so together we can all come together to oppose this bad policy no matter where you fit on this political spectrum.”
He goes on to say Bonin’s people have taken it up a notch. They have been harassing these business owners this past week with visits and text messages. Russo claims they have even ripped signs out of the windows of establishments on Venice Blvd that express their opposition to the program, not only destroying private property but also trampling their 1st amendment rights.
Russo was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
