Ten days after a Washington Post report claimed U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Alex Kozinski subjected six women clerks or interns to inappropriate sexual conduct, the judge says he will “retire, effectively immediately.”
In a statement released today, Kozinski said he could no longer, quote, “be an effective judge and simultaneously fight this battle.”
One of the alleged victims, Heidi Bond, who clerked for the Pasadena-based based judge from 2006 to 2007, told the Post she recalled three instances in which he asked her to look at images of naked people.
