The RecallBonin.com creators are raising awareness and money. Alix Gucovsky is among those calling for Bonin to be removed after lanes were reduced along Venice Boulevard.
She says they need $180,000 to accomplish their yearlong battle.
“I think we’re at about, gosh, when I looked last night I think we’re at about $6,000 and that’s just in four or five days.”
They need over 40,000 signatures to file a petition to recall Bonin. A coalition is also being formed with others who oppose the project that they say is making the area less safe.
